Je le recommande. Bien écrit, une belle histoire, tout y est
C'est simple, j'ai adoré. Je trouve que c'est un magnifique livre sur l'amour. Qu'il soit homosexuel ou non. J'ai aimé les personnages, l'épique. Bref tout. Et l'écriture est tellement fluide. Bref un de mes livres préféré de l'année.

Elle est peuplée d'une patronne obèse, d'un lézard barbu et d'un moniteur de ski aux yeux morts. Et partout : la terre trempête, la boue.
Pourtant, Ferrans s'obstine à rester jusqu'à ce que l'imprévu retourne comme un gant cette famille recomposée en apparence bien sous tous rapports.

Rien, absolument rien ne devait placer sur le chemin de Fabric Concellis un personnage aussi trouble et malfaisant que Stanislas de Saint Avril. Rien, sinon les hasards qui se jouent si mal, si bien de nous.

Un roman puissant et sensible, dont on sort essoufflé, bouleversé et certainement grandi.

Fiction proche de la réalité
Histoire bien tournée, tenant en haleine et qui n'est pas très loin de la réalité d'aujourd'hui. Le nombre de page est important, mais cela se lit très bien et vite. Cela donne envie de lire d'autres livres du même auteur.

La jeune et ravissante Griet est engagée comme servante dans la maison du peintre Vermeer. Nous sommes à Delft, au dix-septième siècle, l'âge d'or de la peinture hollandaise. La ville est aussi prospère que rigide. Griet s'occupe du ménage et des six enfants de Vermeer en s'efforçant d'amadouer l'épouse, la belle-mère et la gouvernante, chacune étant très jalouse de ses prérogatives. Au fil du temps, la douceur de la jeune fille, sa vivacité, sa sensibilité émeuvent le maître. Il l'introduit dans son univers. A mesure que s'affirme leur intimité, la tension et la suspicion règnent dans la maisonnée, le scandale se propage dans la ville.

Dès les premières lignes, on est happé par l'histoire et ce jusqu'à la toute fin. Un thriller envoûtant et bien écrit que je recommande.

L'école perdue.

Cette histoire est arrivée dans un tout petit d'Afrique de l'Ouest. Mon village n'a pas de nom. On l'appelle "le village". Moi, je l'appelle "le néant". Aujourd'hui, je suis le nouvel instituteur de mon village. Et chaque jour, j'ai de moins en moins d'élèves. Ils disparaissent un à un dans une étrange bâtisse blanche, d'ou ils ressortent avec de l'argent. Il faut que j'aille les chercher pour les ramener à l'école.

A travers cette fable moderne d'une grande poésie, Tahar Ben Jelloun dénonce les ravages de l'ignorance, véritable source de la misère et de l'intolérance.
